Beyond the Classroom

Learning at Epworth Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory does not stop at the classroom. Throughout the year, we provide many opportunities for learning experiences outside of the classroom, which take a variety of forms and meet a diverse set of needs. We arrange regular outings, normally theme-related, to local places of interest and longer excursions, for older pupils, which involve overnight stays. These activities, which vary from grade to grade, are normally fun, adventurous, challenging (at times), educational and creative. They help pupils to learn by experience and to develop into confident, responsible citizens.

Epworth is part of the Eco-Schools’ programme and was one of the first schools in the country to obtain its International Eco-Schools’ flag for its commitment to the environment.
