Epworth Grade 12s celebrate the end of a school chapter

Friday, 11 October, marked the end of a significant chapter in the lives of our Grade 12s. A poignant Leavers’ Communion symbolised the conclusion of their journey at Epworth, providing the school with with an opportunity to bid them farewell. The traditional ringing of the school bell echoed their goodbyes to their beloved school
Later in the day, Speech Day celebrated and acknowledged their achievements and contributions to the school. Guest speaker Dr Imtiaz Sooliman, founder of Gift of the Givers, inspired with a hope-filled message that highlighted the spirit of Ubuntu and encouraged our Grade 12s to hold fast to two tenets: faith and spirituality.
To the class of 2024: “May you have enough joy to give you hope, enough pain to make you wise…when you look into the window of your soul may you see the face of God. May the lamp of your life shine upon all you meet.”
