Epworth triumphs at Dusi Canoe Marathon

Epworth girls recorded outstanding results in the 2025 three-day Dusi Canoe Marathon that finished at Blue Lagoon in Durban. They swept the U18 girls’ podium with Hana Newlands, Tayla Norton and Keira Hunter taking the top three positions. These girls also featured amongst the top 10 ladies overall. Grade 12 Epworth pupil, Abbey Hackland and her dad, James, won the mixed doubles race. Epworth claimed the trophy for the top U18 girls’ team. Past Epworth pupils also excelled in the event, taking top places in the U23 event.

Epworth is extremely proud of all six girls and the staff members who successfully completed this gruelling event.
