Epworth victorious at SA Canoe Sprints

Epworth canoeing proved it is top in the country when it brought home the SA Schools’ Canoe Sprints trophy from Gauteng. Six Epworth canoeists: Caitlyn Odell, Tori Little, Tayla Norton, Hana Newlands, Keira Hunter and Daisy Odell participated in the SA Sprint Championships and SA Schools’ Championships at Victoria Lake Canoe Club over the long weekend. The Epworth contingent also excelled in the individual events, achieving medals across the board. Caitlyn Odell received three gold, two silver and four bronze medals as well as a bronze victrix ludorum, Hana Newlands came home with three silver, one bronze and a bronze victrix ludorum, Keira Hunter achieved one bronze and one silver, Tayla Norton won three silver medals and Daisy Odell, one silver and one bronze. Epworth canoeing coaches, Kim Peek and Lorna Oliver were extremely proud of the pupils’ achievements as they have worked diligently to achieve these outstanding results.
