Excellent matric results for class of 2025

We pay tribute to the Epworth class of 2025 on their excellent Senior Certificate results in the IEB examinations.
Once again, we achieved 100% pass, with each of our 72 pupils receiving a Bachelor’s Degree Pass. We are delighted with our girls’ growth and progress in their time at Epworth, particularly given the personal challenges and circumstances that some of them faced.

We recognise and celebrate the girls who balanced busy schedules, dealt with health issues and personal trauma or fought to understand a subject that was challenging them. Therein lies another equally important measure of success.

12 of our 72 pupils achieved aggregates of over 80%. This year has marked a pleasing increase in the average number of A symbols per candidate too, with 59 pupils achieving one or more distinctions.

Dux for 2025, Leah Job, did exceptionally well to make the IEB’s Commendable list, achieving marks in the top 5% for five subjects and a distinction for Life Orientation.

Head of Epworth High School, Mrs Dionne Redfern said: “I acknowledge the time, care and commitment of the teachers, who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the success of their pupils. I extend thanks to the Prep School staff who played pivotal roles in the lives of many of our matriculants.

“Well done, girls of Epworth, class of 2025. You have done your school, yourselves and your parents proud. You have exceeded our expectations and we celebrate your triumphs.”
