Epworth excels at SA Top Schools Squash Tournament

Epworth recently hosted the South African Top Schools Squash Tournament, which was first initiated by Epworth 40 years ago. The top boys’ and girls’ schools from each province competed over three days, with the victors earning the title of South Africa’s top squash school. Epworth, representing the KZN province, placed second overall, narrowly losing to the winning team from Clarendon High School for Girls. Epworth’s first squash team comprised: Kimeya Moonisami, Amy Gerber, Mayra Bytebier, Tamlyn Galliers, Chelsey Cameron and Rylee Howells.

Three of Epworth’s players, Tamlyn Galliers, Rylee Howell and Chelsey Cameron have officially been ranked in the top 10 in South Africa in their respective age groups:
❤ Tamlyn Galliers – ranked 6th in U19
❤ Rylee Howells – ranked 7th in U16
❤ Chelsey Cameron – joint ranked 4th in U14

In addition, Rylee Howells is the 2025 national U15 squash champion, having deservedly claimed the title at the Growthpoint SA Squash Nationals at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
