New pupil leaders for 2026
The third term culminated on a note of great excitement as we announced our high school pupil leaders for 2026.
At the helm of our leadership team are the Top 3: Tawananyasha Mberi (Head of School) and the two Deputy Heads of School, Cara Macfarlane and Piper Wendler.
While we celebrate the girls who have been entrusted with leadership positions, we also see every member of the Grade 11 class as a leader for next year, each with a unique and valuable role to play.
Head of High School Mrs Redfern said: “The challenge to those appointed will be to lead with grace and inclusive leadership, drawing on the strength of the entire grade in their decision making and in upholding the expectations and values of the school.” At the end of the third term, Epworth announced its high school pupil leaders for 2026.
The Grade 11 Leadership Induction was held in the third week of the fourth term at a special chapel service. Along with receiving their pledge and matric scarf, they were encouraged to embrace the words of the Apostle Paul and “be united in perfect unity”. They were also inspired to celebrate one another’s differences and to seek first to understand, then to be understood.
