Four Epworth teams participated in the KZN Inter-Schools’ Squash Tournament on Friday. In the A section, Epworth’s first team performed superbly to win 19-6 in the final against St Anne’s College, securing the title of KZN champions and earning a spot in the prestigious SA Top Schools’ Tournament. This was Epworth’s 32nd KZN schools’ squash title.
Epworth’s second and third teams were split into two equal-strength teams in the B section. They were named Epworth Blue and Epworth Red. The younger Epworth Blue side turned heads with some surprise results, which saw them narrowly win the section ahead of GHS A. Epworth Red also put in a good performance to finish in third place.
Epworth’s fourth team, showing great fight and enthusiasm, competed in the C section and finished as runner-up.
